Anyone due for a Vision Board?

So most of us have settled very well into 2016, accomplishing our goals and sticking to our New Year’s resolutions; but if you’re inconsistent like me, you may have slacked off. Now for 2016, I decided not make any new resolutions because I knew my life was moving in a different direction. I ended a relationship, got a promotion at work, bought a new car, and most of all I started to make myself a priority rather than everyone and everything else. So clearly I knew my life was changing. I did plan on setting goals for myself along the way, but somewhere in that process, I felt overwhelmed and found myself in a rut and couldn’t find my way out. I even visited my doctor because I felt so tired and burned out. I never realized that when your mind is tired, it can really make your body very tired and fatigued.

Anyway; after some soul searching and allowing myself to sit in that rut to identify what was going on with myself, I was able to regroup and get myself together. Which brings me to the subject at hand..VISION BOARD…. I remember some time ago I created a vision board and it really helped me to stay focused on my goals and was a great reminder that there was still work to be done anytime I felt like slacking. So although we are well into 2016, I still decided to create a vision board to have a visual of my long-term goals and to create the baby steps along the way. Therefore, I will be able to finish off the year with a bang and have a clear vision of what I want and need to accomplish in 2017, God willing.

So friends if you’re feeling a little out of place or unclear as to what you want to do with your life. A vision board is an awesome tool to help you realize your goals and make plans for your future. It’s never too late and it’s a fun activity. I’m even thinking of throwing vision board parties..It’s nothing like cupcakes, margaritas, and great friends sharing their vision…

Till Next Time,

Is it time to give your Vision Board a Remix?

Now that the year 2014 is wrapping up and all us us has gone through our ups and downs this year, I’m sure many of us has gone through some ‘enough is enough moments”, some of us have experienced personal growth, or maybe even just having a change in direction of what we wanted out of life and where we want to be moving forward.

I can honestly say 2014 was a year of major ups and downs in my life. I moved to the New York City and back to Atlanta in a matter of 7 months, lost everything I had worked so hard to accomplish and here I am starting over as if I just left my moms home as a young adult. I have no regrets because I stepped out on faith and stopped living in fear of change. But through that impulsive decision I experienced a lot of personal growth. Things that once mattered to me, no longer does. Things I planned in 2014 are not in my plans moving forward. And most of all, I feel that I am a very different person than I was earlier this year. I am so ready to put this year in my past, I can taste it.

Now I will not be making a New Years Resolutions list this year because I know now that life is a never ending journey. We all are constantly learning and growing and is a work in progress. Therefore I decided to create some goals every 3 to 6 months depending on the project and give my Vision Board a Remix.

When I first created my vision board, I was so excited to do it. I feel I was not as honest with myself in my goals and the timetable that I gave on my vision board. So this time I will be sure to get it right. Although it’s a fun and exciting project, we have to be very realistic in what goals we can accomplish in certain time periods.

I hope all of you are looking forward to a new year like I am. I hope you think about what I have shared and Remix your Vision Board.

Have You Made Your Vision Board?

Have You Made Your Vision Board?

What is a Vision Board?

A Vision Board is a tool used to help focus, concentrate and move towards your specific life goals. You can create a vision board on any sort of board in which you will display images that represent your plans and goals for your life. You can add all sorts of things like places you want to vacation, weight loss goals, career goals, just any little thing that your heart desires that of course you can work towards accomplishing and completing. I personally prefer to do vision boards about 6mths to a year at a time therefore I can feel a sense of accomplishment as I see myself actually doing or having the things I’ve placed on my board…Vision Boards are also like a daily vitamin for me, every time I look at it I get excited and even more motivated to move towards my goals Its food for my soul.. If you have not created a vision board, jump on the bandwagon, create your vision board…It’s so much fun, you will feel like a kindergartner…Happy Trails…
